WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER

Communities of practice

The issues that affect our communities are vast and varied and require an equally diverse response. Communities of practice (COP) bring together people from different perspectives who share a common mission and an appreciation for collective learning to resolve these issues.

S4ES and our partners bring together social enterprise practitioners and intermediaries through communities of practice to problem solve and collaborate.

The Social Impact Measurement Community of practice

Our community of Practice (COP) on Social Impact Measurement (SIM) brings together experts to share and learn from one another, to expand impact measurement practice across Canada.

There are 42 members of the SIM COP that represent intermediaries, governments agencies and departments, social enterprises, and academic institutions.

During meetings the participants have the opportunity to:

  • gain knowledge on a common approach and principles to social impact measurement,
  • discuss methods and tools that work,
  • explore technology that supports SIM,
  • understand the measurement and evaluation expectations of social enterprises,
  • share the latest approaches and innovations on SIM.
